5 AM PraiseBio All From Above-The Best of 5 A.M. Praise
Combine talent, ambition, personality, and a pure love of ministering
through music, and you have the main ingredients behind a spirited tour de force known as 5AM Praise.
The 2010 Stellar Award nominated sister act whose mission is to live a life that is pleasing and acceptable to God.
With a reputation built on being the most vibrant and energetic gospel duo to
take the stage, their musical style is impressive, blessed and infectious. And with an amazing choral arrangement, filled
with lyrical messages of worship and praise, 5AM Praise is living up to their name.
As they ready to release their third project, All From Above-The Best of 5 A.M. Praise,
on Born Again Records, the duos first single, “So What,” which earned “Pick
of the Week” from The Black Gospel Blog, is creating a stir throughout the gospel community. “We all go through trials and are discouraged
at some point in our lives,” says 5 A.M. Praise. “Getting talked about, losing jobs or just not good enough in
someone else’s eyes, but this song says “So What” still stand on God’s promise and keep your joy!” Nominated for a Washington Area Music Award for “Gospel/Inspirational Group of the Year,” biological sisters,
Temera and Toy, bring passion and inspiration to the gospel music industry, and when
they hit the stage their energy is contagious and instantly transforms the average concert into an evening to remember—people
are on their feet dancing and praising the Lord nonstop—proving that their energy and anointing cuts to the core of
what great live music is all about. Their experience and knowledge have helped shape both their faith and
their music, and with an interactive stage presence it’s no wonder they’ve shared the stage and performed with
artists as Tye Tribbett, Fred Hammond, Canton Jones, Tramaine Hawkins, Dr. Bobby Jones, Vickie Winans and a host
of others. In addition, they have three songs featured on Bishop Abney's compilation CD, “Jesus
Is the Sweetest Name I Know,” along with Marvin Sapp and Jennifer Holiday.
Both
sisters, who pride themselves in being dedicated to the work of the Lord, hold Bachelor and Master Degrees in Organizational
Leadership completing their studies at Biola and Chapman University in Los Angeles, CA.
As
faithful servants of the Lord and members of Spirit of Faith Christian Center their objective is to be aligned with Gods plan,
obey, trust and keep God on the top of their list. “We are totally committed to the Lord seeking first the kingdom of
God and waiting on the Lord knowing that He will provide our needs, give wisdom and guide us through,” says Temera. Currently on the East coast, their history began as faithful choir members at West Angeles
Church of God in Christ in Los Angeles. But no matter where they live, their songs will continue to tell
a message about Christ and encourage people to give God an early-morning praise while allowing His glory to manifest in their
lives.
